I ran into a great blog post from a girl (Sarah, 24) who was on the Michelle Bridges 12WBT and lost loads of weight. The post resonated with me because it reminded me of the mindset changes I’ve already made towards empowerment. Even my new dietician Mitch commented that my mindset was really strong at the moment!
Personal Responsibility
- Nobody else caused this.
- I overate, I underexercised.
- I’m fat because I’ve been lazy. Not stupid or incapable. Just lazy.
- When I’m sad, emotional and upset; food will not make it better.
- Nobody else can do this for me.
Empowerment
- I eat mindfully and control what I eat.
- It’s my decision to eat well and exercise hard.
- Feeling amazing mentally has a strong connection to feeling amazing physically. Exercise inspires confidence.
- When I can manage my weight, I can manage the country.
- Move more, eat less.
