Things Jiggle. Thanks Ronmerk.
I’m not sure if its just because I’m huge, or if it happens to everyone, but when I jog a whole bunch of annoying things happen.
Everything Jiggles
On each stride as my foot hits the road there’s an incredible heaviness. It’s like gravity has become a superhuman and everything is pulled downward with force. Everything; my hips, my underarm flab and especially my boobies head southward.
Blair Witch Vision
Trying to focus on anything is impossible. Street signs, cars ad dogs are all shaky. I suppose this is exactly what happens in the movies, so it shouldn’t have been such a surprise but the sensation sure is disconcerting.
I’ve found it so much easier to focus at the road beneath me than at a far distant object.
Music Helps the Rhythm
For extra motivation I’ve created a playlist with some music that energises me. This seems to really help me go father and push myself harder. I might post that playlist – but I reckon you’ll laugh at me. I’m told my music tastes are odd. For example an upbeat song like Adrenalina by Mendez has a nice rhythmic beat and I can jog in time with the music.
New to Jogging
I’ve only been exercising for 9 days and I’m already surprised I can jog so much. I think I could push myself harder too, but because I’m mostly exercising at night alone I do fear an injury would mean I couldn’t get home.
I also have an old knee injury which sometimes feels tender when I jog. I often get pain in that knee when walking downstairs in stiletto heels especially, but I’ve found with just a little exercise it’s feeling heaps stronger. Maybe there’s something to this exercise thing.
Am I just finding my greatness? Have you had these experiences when you first started to jog?
