Wrong timezone
When I travel I never have a problem with jetlag. I always joke that I was born in the wrong timezone!
But rising early… this evades me. I find it exceedingly difficult and only upon returning from France this year have I discovered why. But it’s so obvious.
Going to bed early & rising early
When I started going to bed early, rising early became easy. Of course, this is so easy to say, and so difficult to practice. I’m a night owl, and I enjoy the quiet and solace in the evening.
I grapple with not being a morning person. I feel guilt. And I feel embarressed. Successful people rise early in the morning, and so then I must also not be successful.
Tomorrow is another chance
Tonight I’ve done great sleep hygiene tasks to prepare for tomorrow.
I’ve pre-made my breakfast smoothie. Mango and pineapple!
I’ve set out my clothes.
I’ve reviewed my morning tasks.
And I’m genuinely looking forward to the morning.
Birds in Backyards
Tomorrow morning over breakfast my partner and I will particpate in the first day of counting birds in backyards all over Australia. I’m really looking forward to it.
I think it makes a big difference to have a great attitude. And sharing this experience is a definitely a big positive reason to haul my ass out of bed.
